Eligibility:

+2 Science examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Bioscience/ Life - science) and/or Mathematics from C.H.S.E., Odisha or any examination equivalent to it, approved by PCI. Candidates must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, both in theory as well as practical subject to any amendment of eligibility condition notified by PCI from time to time. Pass in vocational courses are not eligible.

Age Limit: Generally, applicants must be at least 17 years old. Duration: 2 Years

No. of Seats: 60 (Sixty)

Selection Procedure:

Admissions are conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha. The merit list is prepared by the Convenor, D. Pharm Selection Committee, Odisha. The remaining seats are filled through the Management Quota in accordance with the applicable admission guidelines.

Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) shall be provided as per the policies and directives issued by the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administration, as amended from time to time.

Scope of the Course:

Upon completion of the D. Pharm program, candidates can pursue careers in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and pharmaceutical industries as pharmacy technicians, dispensers, or pharmaceutical sales representatives. They may also opt for higher education by enrolling in a B. Pharm program to advance their professional qualifications and career prospects.
