ADMISSION PROCESS
Capital Academy of Nursing is committed to providing transparent, merit-based, and inclusive admission opportunities to eligible candidates seeking professional education in Nursing. Admissions to the various programmes offered by the college shall be conducted strictly in accordance with the norms and regulations prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Government of Odisha, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS), and other competent authorities as amended from time to time.
Procedure of Applying
- Register through the Odisha admission process conducted under OJEE/OJEE counselling.
- Appear in OJEE (where applicable) and participate in counselling.
- Fill college and course choices.
- Seat allotment is done according to merit, category, and seat availability.
- Report to the allotted college for document verification and admission.
Documents Required for Admission to Nursing Courses
Applicants must upload/submit clear and valid copies of the following documents as applicable to their respective courses.
Documents Required for All Nursing Courses
- Six recent passport-size colour photographs with a light background (not older than three weeks).
- Candidate’s signature on white paper using a black ink pen.
- HSC/10th pass certificate and mark sheet issued by BSE Odisha or equivalent Board.
- 10+2 pass certificate and mark sheet issued by CHSE Odisha or equivalent Board.
- Valid caste certificate (For Reserved Category Candidates) issued by the competent authority for SC/ST candidates.
- Proof of Odia Language Qualification (Applicable for 85% Govt. Quota Seats)
- Residential/Nativity Certificate issued by the competent authority within five years
- Persons with Disability (PwD) Certificate (If Applicable)
- Ex-Serviceman Category Certificate (If Applicable)
- Green Card Certificate (If Applicable)
- Original Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Allopathic Medical Officer.
- Marriage Declaration (If Applicable) in prescribed format for married candidates.
Additional Documents for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- GNM pass certificate and mark sheet issued by ONMEB or equivalent authority.
- Original valid GNM Registration Certificate (front and back pages) issued by ONMRC or equivalent Nursing Council.
- No Objection Certificate NOC from the appointing authority permitting the candidate to undergo the course.
Additional Documents for M.Sc. Nursing
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Basic B.Sc. Nursing pass certificate and mark sheet issued by the concerned University.
- Original valid Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Basic B.Sc. Nursing Registration Certificate (front and back pages) issued by ONMRC or equivalent authority.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the appointing authority permitting the candidate to pursue the course.
- Relevant Work Experience Certificate as prescribed under admission guidelines.
Scrutiny / Verification Process:
Before final admission, college scrutinizes:
- Academic qualifications.
- Date of birth proof.
- Original mark sheets and certificates.
- Transfer/Migration certificates.
- Caste and reservation certificates.
- Residential status certificates.
- Any discrepancy in documents may lead to cancellation of admission.
Reservation Policy:
Reservation is generally provided according to Odisha Government norms. Categories commonly considered include:
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
- Ex-Servicemen (ES)
- Green Card Holders
- Other categories notified by the Government of Odisha from time to time.
The exact percentage of reservation for each category is published every year in the official admission brochure and counselling guidelines. Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid certificates issued by the competent authority.
