DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICS

The Department of Pharmaceutics at Manjari Devi Pharmacy College is dedicated to imparting comprehensive knowledge and practical skills related to the formulation, development, manufacture, evaluation, and dispensing of pharmaceutical dosage forms. The department plays a pivotal role in shaping competent pharmacy professionals by integrating theoretical concepts with hands-on laboratory training.

The department focuses on various aspects of pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmaceutical formulation development, dosage form design, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical technology, industrial pharmacy, and novel drug delivery systems. Through a well- structured curriculum, students gain an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles involved in transforming active pharmaceutical ingredients into safe, effective, and patient-friendly medicines.

The Department is equipped with modern laboratories and essential pharmaceutical equipment to facilitate practical learning and experimental research. Students receive extensive training in the preparation and evaluation of tablets, capsules, syrups, suspensions, emulsions, ointments, creams, sterile products, and other pharmaceutical formulations. Emphasis is placed on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory requirements followed by the pharmaceutical industry.

The faculty members of the department are committed to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and research-oriented learning. Regular seminars, workshops, industrial visits, project work, and interactive sessions with industry experts provide students with valuable exposure to contemporary developments in pharmaceutical technology and drug delivery systems.
